Jaimee and Gavin's summer wedding at the iconic Diamond B Weddings & Events is a classic example of a gorgeous Montana wedding. Their Story

Gavin and I have known each other for a long time. We met at The Cleveland Clinic; he was a surgical resident, and I was a nurse – the “Grey's Anatomy” type love story. We were friends for a while, and I wasn’t looking for anything serious as I was studying to get my master's degree, and he was a very busy surgical resident. After he graduated, he moved to Miami to complete his pediatric surgery fellowship, and it wasn’t until my best friend and I took a trip to Florida to visit, that I realized I really loved spending time with this guy. We did the long-distance relationship thing for two years: He would fly to Cleveland and visit me, and I would fly to Miami to visit him. His best friend, a surgeon here in the Flathead Valley, interested him in a new venture: a new children’s hospital, the only one in Montana. So we decided to pick up everything and move to Montana, and it was the best decision we've ever made!

It was bittersweet having our wedding in June. We waited a long time to plan, and when we started looking for venues everything was booked! We got lucky at Diamond B Weddings & Events when they had one weekend available for that summer: June 16 and 17. We said "Yes!" When we got home I was talking with my sisters and they said, “Jaimee, that’s Father’s Day weekend.” My heart sank as I had just lost my father very unexpectedly to heart disease on June 20, 2017. I knew my dad had wanted to be a part of our wedding in a big way, and this was it. It was meant to be. While it was sad not having my dad there to walk me down the aisle, he showed up in the gorgeous sunset the evening of our wedding. It was the most beautiful Montana sky we had ever seen. I walked down the aisle to a beautiful version of one of my dad's favorite Led Zepplin songs played by an incredibly talented string trio. It meant the world to me. It truly was our favorite day.
